Terms of service

Version 1.2. Last updated 21 October 2026.

1. Who we are and how these terms work

RAAYDR is run by RAAYDR LIMITED, company number 17418893, registered in England and Wales at 66 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NA. You can reach us at hello@raaydr.com.

These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use raaydr.com, app.raaydr.com and the RAAYDR apps. By creating an account you agree to them. Some sections only apply to you if you hold that role: section 3 if you subscribe as a listener, sections 4 to 10 if you upload music, earn money or post clips.

We have written them in plain English on purpose. If anything is unclear, ask us before you agree.

2. Accounts, roles and access

  • You must be 18 or over to hold an account.
  • Joining RAAYDR is by invite or access code while we grow. One account can hold more than one role: listener, artist, producer or songwriter, tastemaker.
  • Keep your login safe. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
  • Nothing on RAAYDR plays without a listener subscription, because every play is paid for by a subscriber. Artists can always play their own uploads. Tastemakers get catalogue access as part of the role (section 8).
  • Music plays only in countries where we hold the licences to play it. Right now that is the UK. You can sign up from anywhere; playback switches on in your country as each licence lands.
  • Listener subscriptions are sold on the web only, never inside the iPhone or Android apps, so no app store takes a cut of artists' money.

3. Listener subscriptions

PlanPrice a monthWho gets it
Day One£6.99The first 100 paying listeners, plus everyone on our honour list. £6.99 a month for as long as you stay subscribed. Your Day One tape, number and status are yours for good. If you cancel and come back, you return at £9.99.
Standard£9.99Everyone else.

Prices include VAT once we are VAT registered. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price change, and you can cancel before it applies. While you stay subscribed, a Day One price never goes up.

Billing. You pay monthly in advance by card through Stripe. Your subscription renews each month until you cancel.

Cancelling. Cancel any time online, in the same place you signed up, in a few taps. You keep listening until the end of the month you have paid for. We don't give partial refunds for the rest of a month.

Your 14 days. UK law gives you 14 days to cancel a digital service. Because your listening starts straight away, we ask you to agree at checkout that it starts now and that you lose the 14-day right once it does. We keep a record of that agreement. If you don't agree, your subscription starts after 14 days instead.

Faults. If RAAYDR doesn't work for you because of a fault on our side, tell us and we will put it right or refund you for the time it didn't work. Your rights under UK consumer law are not affected by anything in these terms.

Your use. Listening is for you, personally. You can't record, download, copy, rebroadcast or play RAAYDR in public or commercially, or use tools to play music automatically to fake listening.

4. Uploading music

Uploading is free and stays free. You keep full ownership of your music, your recordings and your artwork. We claim none of it.

What you let us do. When you upload, you give RAAYDR a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, convert, stream and display your music, artwork, credits and profile on RAAYDR, in the countries where we are licensed to play music, and to use short excerpts, your name and your artwork to promote you and your music on RAAYDR and on RAAYDR's own social channels. We can let the companies that run our hosting, storage and payments handle your files only to provide RAAYDR. We can't sell or license your music to anyone else.

When it ends. The licence ends for each track when you take it down, and ends for everything when your account closes. We keep records of plays and payments, because money depends on them, and copies may take up to 30 days to clear from backups.

Your promises. For every track you upload, you confirm that:

  • you wrote it or have the right to release it, and you own or control the recording;
  • anything you sampled or borrowed is cleared;
  • everyone credited agreed to their credit and their split (section 6);
  • the songwriting and society details you give us (for example PRS membership) are correct; and
  • you've told us if any of it was made with AI.

If someone else owns rights in a track and you didn't have permission, you are responsible for that, not RAAYDR.

Publishing. We report what is played to PRS for Music so songwriters get paid. If you write your own songs, joining PRS or your own country's society means that money comes back to you. You must tell us your society, or that you're not in one, for every track.

5. How creators get paid

Each listener's money goes to the artists that listener actually listens to, in proportion to their counted listening time that month. Nobody's subscription is pooled with anybody else's.

What gets shared. From each listener's monthly payment we first take out VAT, the songwriting royalties we pay to PRS for Music, and card and payout fees. What's left is shared like this:

WhoShare of what's left
Artists, by that listener's attention55%
Tastemakersup to 10%. Anything tastemakers don't earn goes to artists
RAAYDR35%

Referral money (section 7) comes out of RAAYDR's share, never yours. We publish these figures on raaydr.com and give you at least 30 days' notice before any of them changes.

What counts. A play counts once it passes our listening threshold. Your own plays of your own music, tastemakers' plays, and our test accounts' plays never count. If a listener plays nothing in a month, RAAYDR never keeps the artists' share of their money. If they have listened before, it follows what they played in their last month of listening. If they are new and haven't played anything yet, it waits and follows their first listening. If they leave without ever playing anything, it is shared across all artists in proportion to everyone's listening that month.

Your money, step by step.

  1. In progress: a listener's month is still running. What you see is an estimate.
  2. Confirmed: their month has closed. The amount is fixed and recorded to you.
  3. Payable: confirmed, you have set up payouts, and everything you're owed adds up to £25 or more.
  4. Paid: sent to your bank.

When. We pay once a month, on the 10th. A listener's month is confirmed once it closes, and paid on the next payout day after that, so your first payment comes in the second payout after you start earning.

The £25 minimum counts everything you're owed from every source together: your own tracks, your splits on other people's tracks, referrals and tastemaker money. Under £25, it rolls over to the next month and is shown as owed.

Setting up payouts. We pay through Stripe. You'll need to verify who you are and add your bank details with Stripe, and agree to Stripe's terms. Until you do, your money is held and shown as owed. It is never lost and never given to anyone else.

Refunds and chargebacks. If a listener's payment is refunded or reversed after you've been paid for it, we take that amount off your next payment and show it on your statement. We never take money from your bank.

Fake listening. If we find plays were faked or bought, they don't count, we can hold payment while we check, and we can take back money already paid for them.

Statements. You get a monthly statement showing every source, every deduction and every payment, which you can download.

Tax. You are responsible for your own tax. We may ask for details we need by law.

6. Splits for producers, songwriters and collaborators

If you upload a track, you can split what it earns with the people who made it: producers, songwriters, featured artists, mixers and others.

  • You set each person's share. The shares on a track always add up to 100%.
  • Each person is invited and must accept their split. Once accepted, their share is paid to them directly every month, the same way as section 5.
  • A change to a split applies from the date it is made, never backwards. Money already confirmed stays with whoever it was confirmed to.
  • Until an invited person accepts, the person who uploaded the track keeps that share. The invite lasts 90 days. Once they accept, their share is paid to them from then on.
  • If collaborators disagree about a split, we pay what is recorded until you agree a change. We can hold the disputed share while you sort it out.
  • Splits on RAAYDR cover money RAAYDR pays. They don't replace any agreement you have with each other outside RAAYDR.

7. Referrals

Bring a listener to RAAYDR through your own referral link and we pay you £1 every month they stay subscribed, for life.

  • RAAYDR pays this out of its own share. It never comes out of any artist's or tastemaker's money.
  • It stops when they cancel. If they come back through your link, it starts again. If they come back through another creator's link, that creator gets it instead.
  • A listener only ever counts for one referrer at a time.
  • Referral money is paid with everything else in section 5 and counts towards the £25 minimum.
  • Referrals made by buying, swapping or faking sign-ups don't count, and we can take back money paid for them.

8. Tastemakers

Tastemakers are invited curators: DJs, A&Rs, producers, journalists and playlisters. There are 25 places.

  • You get catalogue access as part of the role, so you can do the work without paying a subscription.
  • Your listening is work, so it never counts towards any artist's earnings. If you also want to listen as a fan, you subscribe separately like anyone else.
  • Tastemakers are paid from the tastemaker share in section 5, on the rules we publish for the role.
  • Curate honestly. Taking payment from artists to feature them, or trading features, ends the role.

9. Signal clips

You agree to this once, before your first clip. When you post, you also say whether the clip was made with AI.

When you post a clip to Signal, you confirm that:

  • you own the song in it or have the right to use it, and you control the recording;
  • you have permission from everyone who appears in the clip, and for any footage in it;
  • the clip uses no music other than your track; and
  • you've told us if any of it was made with AI.

You keep ownership of your clip. You let RAAYDR show it on RAAYDR and share it on RAAYDR's own social channels to promote you and your music, for as long as it stays up. You can take a clip down at any time, and we'll stop using it from then on. We never use your clips or your music to train AI. We can remove a clip that breaks these terms.

10. RAAYDR+

RAAYDR+ is an optional plan for creators at £3.99 a month. It gives you deeper analytics and tools. It never gives you music features, and you never need it to upload or get paid.

  • The first 100 artists, 100 producers and songwriters, and 25 tastemakers get RAAYDR+ free forever.
  • It renews monthly until you cancel, and you can cancel any time online. Section 3's rules on billing, cancelling and your 14 days apply to RAAYDR+ too.

11. Our promises to creators

These are part of the agreement, so you can hold us to them.

  • Your music stays yours. We take none of your ownership.
  • We never use your music, clips or voice to train AI, and we never let anyone else do it through RAAYDR.
  • Uploading is free, and stays free.
  • The artist money always moves. We pay monthly, show every deduction, and never keep money that belongs to you.

AI-made music. You can upload music made with AI as long as you tell us at upload, and we may label it. You can't upload anything that copies another artist's voice or style to pass as them.

12. Content rules, takedowns and disputes

Not allowed: music or clips you don't have the rights to; hate, harassment or threats; sexual content involving anyone under 18; anything illegal; impersonating another artist; faked plays, sign-ups or referrals.

Taking your own music down. You can unpublish a track or clip at any time and it comes down straight away.

If you think something on RAAYDR is yours. Email hello@raaydr.com with what it is, where it is, and proof that you own it. We aim to act within 72 hours. The person who uploaded it can reply with their side, and we may restore it if they show they have the rights.

Repeat problems. An account with three valid rights complaints can be closed.

What we can do. We can remove content, hold payments linked to it, or suspend an account while we look into a complaint. We'll tell you why unless the law stops us.

13. Ending your account

  • You can ask us to close your account at any time by emailing hello@raaydr.com.
  • Money you are owed is still paid to you, on the next payout day after your last listener month closes, even if it is under £25, as long as Stripe can send it.
  • When you close your account, your music and clips come down and our licence to use them ends (section 4).
  • We can close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. We'll give you notice and reasons unless the law stops us, or the account is fake or fraudulent. Money from genuine listening is still paid; money from faked activity is not.
  • Your Day One tape, number and status stay yours if you come back, as section 3 says. If you cancel and come back, you return at £9.99 a month.

Privacy. How we use your personal data, and what artists can and can't see about their listeners, is in our privacy policy at raaydr.com/privacy.

Our liability. We are responsible for losses we cause by breaking these terms that were foreseeable. We are not responsible for business losses, or for things outside our reasonable control. Apart from money you are owed under section 5, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of £100 or what you have paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing here limits liability for death or injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else the law doesn't let us limit, and your UK consumer rights always apply.

Changes to these terms. We'll tell you about changes by email and in the app at least 30 days before they apply. If a change affects how creators are paid, you can close your account before it applies and be paid everything you're owed. Small fixes that don't change your rights can apply straight away.

The law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear disputes. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also use your local courts.
